Marconi (By Rolex) Early WW1 Trench Watch In Sterling Silver

Description

This is a 33mm sterling-silver WW1 trench watch dating to pre-1920. The name “Marconi” is a registered name used by Rolex. The founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf chose this name due to the fame of Guglielmo Marconi, who was the first to utilize radio waves during this era. These Marconi movements were finished the same as the Rolex-branded versions. The sterling-silver original hinged Wilsdorf-Davis case (signed W&D) was also produced by Rolex. The original porcelain dial with restored lume on the numerals and cathedral hands looks fantastic. These dials are (correctly) not signed. The proper large-onion winding crown is installed.
