This is one spectacular and large all-original 38.5x45x15mm Mathey Tissot circa 1960s vintage watch! The black dial is completely original and in real life looks much cleaner than the pictures, having lume, sepia-toned Arabic numerals with white accents, and matching hands. Pictures do not show off how stunning this dial really is! The huge case with polished turning bezel is again, like new having a massive, original crown. We had the bezel re-painted to match the dial. The manual winding Valjoux 225 movement is very rare, glistening, accurate, and fully overhauled with all functions operating smoothly. Can you see the resemblance to Breguet? We really cannot stress how beautiful this watch appears on the wrist, looking huge, imposing, glistening, and rare! It is very difficult to find reference to this Valjoux 225 in any books. This case is signed inside “ACIER INOXYDABLE” and the outer part “4966.”
