This 39.7mm Omega Speedmaster Special MET Edition is a stunning watch. This pays homage to the first Omega watch that was in space – the ref. 2998. This Omega was sold at the MET in New York with only 100 of these MET edition Omegas produced. This watch comes complete as bought new in 2019 (everything shown in pictures) and looks close to pristine, with only hairline scratches on the rear. This Omega comes with the original leather band, buckle and red and white Nato Omega band. The caliber 1861 manual winding movement powers this timepiece. This Omega emulates the watch astronaut Wally Schirra wore during the Mercury Sigma 7 mission in 1962. This rare Speedmaster is priced lower than any we have found….and there are very few. This is a true collector’s Omega.
