This RARE REVUE THOMMEN is the only recent mechanical ALTIMETER/BAROMETER watch available! When the winding crown is depressed, air pressure the case and an aneroid capsule reflects the barometer/ in hecto-Pascal, and the Altitude up to 4500 meters. To detect air pressure changes, align the bezel to 0 in the red scale with the orange hand pointing to zero, if the orange hand rises above zero indicating a lower pressure reading (on the inside scale of the dial), rain may be on the way! I keep one of these watches and use it for hiking. Also fun in an elevator! This watch was produced in only 1998 examples, with this being #155/1998 (as marked on the case) commemorating the Swiss Alps challenge in October 29 The sapphire crystal has an double sided anti-reflective coating for a clean, and easy dial visibility. The 40mm. case and bracelet are quite finely made, in solid TITANIUM with luxurious and detailed bracelet links. The hand winding peseux caliber 7001 17 jewel movement is keeping accurate time.
