This REVUE THOMMEN ALTIMARK altimeter is one of the few MECHANICAL altimeters housed in a watch, with the other being the REVUE THOMMEN AIRSPEED (1999) and Favre Leuba Bivouac from the 1960’s. This particular watch houses a very high quality eta quartz electric movement.Revue Thommen Factory has supplied the following details.

1.Constructed in 1994

2. Original price CHF 1,500, ~ $1,500 USD

3. Movement is Eta 955-122

4. Sun Compass

5. Altimeter/Barometer

6. Sapphire Crystal

7. Gold plated, 10 microns

This watch is heavy and chunky, measuring 40×42.5x16mm. When the crown is depressed, the top can be lifted to display the Altimeter/Barometer analogue display. If one calibrates the altimeter to read zero and stays at the same altitude, the rise or fall in barometric pressure will be displayed, allowing for weather prediction. and altitude.These watches were produced in very limited numbers, are hard to find and very collectable.
