This 34mm vintage Rolex Air-King dates to 1967 (sold in’69) and features a very amazingly original patinaed dial that has taken on almost purplish tone. As aged as this dial is, you will really appreciate the unique vintage look it has taken on…especially when you see it in person. This watch retains the original handset as well. The caliber 1520 automatic winding movement was just cleaned and is keeping accurate time. The bezel and crown are 14k. gold. This watch retains the original box and papers, which really adds MUCH value to this complete vintage Rolex package. We purchased this watch on this thick Rolex Oyster (more modern) 78350 bracelet…looks amazing. Likely the folded bracelet stretched apart and this 80’s thick Oyster bracelet made a more solid replacement. I remember in the 80s collecting, we would always “upgrade” some Rolex to the solid Oyster bracelets because the watch looked better overall. These watches sold on a choice of either a steel or two-tone Oyster folded bracelet often when sold in stores. I find the steel bracelet frames the watch and does not distract from the overall look.
