This is a preserved 34mm vintage Rolex Air-King, ref. 5500, dating to 1968. It features the reliable Rolex caliber 1520 automatic movement, which has been recently serviced and is running smoothly. The stainless-steel case retains its sharp lines and looks excellent in person, showcasing the enduring craftsmanship of this classic model. The original silver dial has developed a light, even patina, adding character without compromising legibility. While some spotting is visible in high-resolution photos, it’s much less noticeable when worn and appears far more subtle to the naked eye. This piece comes on its original 1969 Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet, which adds to its authenticity and collectability.
