This is an uncommon and early ROLEX housed in an Octagonal rhodium plated steel back case, even retaining the original dust cover. This watch dates to 1929. The coin edge bezel case was expertly restored by having an expensive re-plating of rhodium, leaving the back un-touched (correct steel). The correct large OYSTER PATENT winding crown is present. The dial is completely original. The ROLEX pencil hands were likely replaced many years ago. These are small sized watches at 28mm. The correct OYSTER watch company case is correctly signed. The very fine ROLEX PRIMA movement is adjusted to six positions-cleaned and accurate. These early ROLEX watches are becoming very uncommon to find.
