This uncommon vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date is often overlooked; with its mosaic ‘Shantung’ dial. These dials were said to have been produced for the Asian market by Rolex with a special process; whereby silk threads are embedded into the dial creating the patterned lines. The 34mm stainless steel case displays very fine condition and is devoid of major dings or flaws. The polished bezel perfectly frames the blue-jean-coloured dial. This watch recently had a full overhaul of its movement by a Rolex-trained watchmaker. The very clean stainless steel riveted Rolex Oyster USA bracelet has some stretch, but looks great on the wrist. You will find yourself gazing at this vintage Rolex as the light catches the dial.
