The Rolex Precision watches are among my favourite Rolex. Measuring 34mm. in steel, they are the ideal size for many. This 1962 early version even retains its original Super Oyster winding crown, which was only used for about 3 years by Rolex. These crowns did NOT screw down and relied on the crown gasket to provide the seal. You never have to worry about the tube or crown threads wearing out, because there aren’t any. This vintage Rolex has an amazing completely ORIGINAL dial with larger triangular and arrow markers in gold tone and the raised Rolex Coronet along with original Dauphine hands, blued steel sweep seconds and original lume. I love the radium burns on the dial which show where the hands stayed in place for decades in a safety deposit box. These caliber 710 manual winding Rolex movementare a reliable workhorse. These movements don’t have a rotor, so fewer moving parts equals less servicing problems and higher reliability. This movement was just serviced and is accurate. The riveted Rolex Oyster bracelet looks exactly like a ’62 and dates to 1970-is extremely tight and clean. I love the vintage look this Rolex exudes.
