This is a prime example of an early 1930’s RARE stainless steel Rolex Prince in a “Railway” case in all original condition. The dial is completely original and AMAZING-retaining the original blued steel hands and sub-seconds. These early ROLEX Prince watches were often not signed ROLEX on the dial and are completely correct and original. The fine ROLEX movement is signed properly ROLEX under the dial. Again, these movements on the early version Princes were not signed on the movement bridge and we guarantee this is a the correct and original ROLEX movement. This movement was cleaned by one of the best watchmakers in Canada, who worked at ROLEX for many years. The reference 1768 stainless steel case measures 20x42mm. This case is known as the “Railway” style with its stepped bezel. This case has been amazingly preserved and has never been polished. Keep in mind-stainless steel was very hard to work with in the late 20’s and early 1930’s, so we find fewer steel case Princes and more gold or gold filled tend to appear. We purchased this watch from the family of the original owner. This is an investment grade ROLEX from my personal collection.
