This 1985 serial 86780xx Rolex Submariner 5513 spider dial with correct 5512 case back has been preserved with its original fliplock 93150 steel bracelet. The dial, bezel and hands are original to the watch. Woops…some fingerprints on the bracelet in my photo! The caliber 1520 automatic Rolex movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. There is a battle scar on the bezel that is not detracting-after all, the Rolex Submariner should look like it was worn! This is the true classic vintage watch. This dial is known as the spider dial and like most errors out of the Rolex factory, have become very collectable. This “crazing” occurs from the lacquer breakdown and looks great. The crazing appears mainly in bright light on an angle. This is a true and honest example of a spider dial Sub.
