This is a correct and all ORIGINAL circa 1942 ROLEX VICTORY Pilot’s watch housed in the original PIONEER chrome plated 29mm. (smaller sized) case with steel back. These ID cases were used by ROLEX here in Canada to circumvent import duties and are completely original and authentic to these WW2 ROLEX watches. The ROLEX VICTORY and SKYROCKET watches were marketed to soldiers going overseas in WW2 and sold to them in PX stores. This ORIGINAL black dial is in amazing condition with its detailed minute scale in silver gilt printing. The pencil blued steel hands are original and have been re-lumed. The caliber 59 ROLEX movement was the only movement used in these watches and were NOT signed on the exposed bridge; but are correctly signed on the movement plate UNDERNEATH the dial. This manual winding ROLEX movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. Black (original) dial ROLEX are the most desirable.
