Description
Here is a Rolex Victory in sterling silver measuring 29mm and having a signed stainless steel back. The original dial displays very clean condition with red 24-hour scale and blued steel pencil hands that match the lume on the Arabic numerals. The red sweep seconds are also original. It is really great to find an all-original WW2-era pilot’s watch. The Rolex Victory and Skyrocket watches were marketed to soldiers going overseas in WW2 and sold to them in PX stores. These smaller-sized cases were made by either Pioneer or ID. The caliber 59 Rolex movement was the only movement used in these watches and were not signed on the exposed bridge, but, are correctly signed on the dial plate underneath the dial. This Rolex manual winding movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time.
