This 31mm Tudor Oyster Exeter is an uncommon variety. The original Tudor manual winding movement was just cleaned and is accurate. This is a mid-sized watch – not too small and looks great on the wrist. This original black dial is really quite beautiful; having the original pencil hands, silver gilt print, and radium Arabic numerals. Black dials are hard to find and are more valuable than silver. The original Oyster-patented crown is still present. This watch as well as the Essex, Bristol, Devon, and London were all produced by Rolex in the 1940s and 1950s for the commonwealth market. These Tudor Oyster watches are very collectable and becoming quite difficult to find.
