Description
These circa 1956 stainless steel vintage Tudor Prince Oysterdate 34 watches are a prize to wear. This watch features a spectacular and completely original black, honeycomb raised pattern dial with gilt printing and desired roulette (alternating black-to-red) date wheel. I really love the gilt encircled frame in the date aperture, along with the raised arrow gold-toned markers and original dagger hands. That is only angular magnification in the bubble-date, as all the numerals are clear and correct. The steel 34mm stainless steel case looks excellent; and because of the elongated and thick lugs, plus wide polished bezel, make it took larger. The caliber 390 automatic winding movement was just fully serviced – sparkling and accurate. This movement was also used in the Rolex Submariner from the same era. I chose to wear this stunning watch on a trip to Venice Italy due to its fine looks.
