This is a fine and uncommon circa 1956 TUDOR made by ROLEX using the very famous rugged and fine caliber 390 movement, which was made in the ROLEX factory based on the caliber 1530 ROLEX movement. These movements were considered the best ever vintage calibers used in TUDOR watches. These engines were only produced for a short while, then ETA was chosen as their movements for years to come. This particular model is the full-sized 34mm. in stainless steel with ROLEX winding crown. The original “small rose” dial has taken on a fine patina and retains the original gold toned arrow markers and dagger hands. The caliber 390 movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The movement ALONE on this watch is rather valuable, as it is exactly the same as used in the TUDOR SUBMARINER gilt dial watches from the 50’s and 60’s. These watches looks fabulous on the wrist an will be the future collectable watches in the ROLEX/TUDOR line. Get one fast while it’s inexpensive.
