T his is a fine, early and uncommon 1963 TUDOR OYSTER PRINCE with an (original) “bulls-eye” “pie-pan” dial! The radiating silver, ribbed edges lead your eye towards the glossy black middle with white print, radium, dauphine hands and Tudor “rose” insignia. These dials are becoming hard to find in original condition! This particular dial still looks very good, but does exhibit spotting from age. The “shimmering like platinum” 33mm. stainless steel case and (original) Rolex winding crown are in very fine shape! The crown screws down perfectly, with lots of threading intact. The excellent quality TUDOR (by ROLEX) automatic winding movement was fully disassembled and meticulously cleaned…accurate! Interestingly, and uncommon for TUDOR… this movement is adjusted to 2 positions. This is a less common TUDOR variety that is becoming “hard to find”.
