This is a very fine 1960s vintage Vacheron Constantin men’s reference 6123 is solid 18k. white gold measuring 26.25×31.5mm, which is a smaller sized watch, but normal for the 60s. This watch is special because it housed one of the thinnest movements of the time. The Vacheron Constantin caliber 1003 was developed by Audemars Piguet, together with JLC, and is an ultra-thin movement. It only 1.64mm high which was quite a feat to produce. This watch is so thin-a bit over 5mm including the crystal! We just had the high-grade Vacheron Constantin movement serviced and is running perfectly. The previous owner had a custom 18k. white gold ladder bracelet expensively produced for this watch and is soldered to the case presenting a very elegant look. There is a considerable amount of 18k. gold in this watch-50 grams NOT including the movement! Almost $2100 in gold alone. The bracelet will fit up to a 7.75 inch wrist. The dial is completely original and looks very good for its early 60s manufacture. This fine Vacheron watch will suit either a man or woman. We have priced this EXTREMELY well.
