1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Semi-Bubbleback

Description

When I found this very clean and uncommon 1954 Rolex, automatic winding ref. 6303 semi bubbleback, I was thrilled! This 34.5mm stainless steel, sleek and shimmering Rolex Oyster case is a true classic, having a desirable engine-turned bezel, Rolex Oyster winding crown, screw back, all in fantastic condition! We very rarely see this case ref. 6303, which is quite uncommon! The dial is all original, having raised steel markers, sparkling steel Dauphine hands, and deep blued steel sweep seconds, again, in very fine all-original condition! The automatic winding Rolex caliber 1030 (the first Rolex with bi-directional winding rotor) movement was just cleaned and is sparkling. This one is keeping time very well. These movements were also used in the original 6536 ‘James Bond’ Submariners. The semi bubbleback came to fruition in the 1950s, which was a larger watch than the earlier bubbleback.
