Description
This 22x39mm Montrose sterling-silver jump-hour watch was manufactured in the 1930s and was chrome plated on the top case with sterling-silver rear. We had the watch expensively rhodium plated, to look exactly like chrome, but without the premature chance of wear, as rhodium is from the platinum family and is very hard and lustrous. The fact that this watch also displays seconds is what makes it interesting and rare. The Montrose manual winding movement was just overhauled, and is accurate and quite fine, calibrated with four adjustments. The dial and all its print are clear, legible, and original, adding to the desirability of this highly collectable vintage jump-hour watch. Notice the cabochon winding crown.
