This extremely rare, vintage, all-original and correct circa 1941 Rolex aviators watch named the “Rolex Hurricane,” which was named after the Hawker Hurricane fighter plane from WW2. This Rolex was the smallest at 27.5mm across, but also the rarest of the WW2 series of Rolex watches made for the Canadian market. The manual winding movement is signed Rolex, as is the case back. The gold-filled, original Rolex case is quite interesting, and the only style of case found on these Hurricane Rolex watches and retains the original winding crown. Notice the solid section between the lugs, which is similar to the Rolex Bubbleback. The original silver dial on this watch with sub-seconds, red 24-hour register, lume, Arabic numerals, and original blued steel hands is completely correct and original. This dial is very clean in real life. Our brightly lit pictures show up much more detail and accentuates the aging that is really not visible with the naked eye.
