This is a 1950s Gruen Pan-Am pilot’s watch housed in a 32x39mm gold-plated case with stainless steel snap-back and turtle lugs that displays fine overall original condition. The dial displays 24-hour time, making these watches popular with pilots at the time they were introduced. The manual winding and fine Gruen 420S movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. The dial is completely original with reflective 24-hour track and seconds register, blued steel hands, and sweep seconds. These are smaller-sized watches but truly offer a great vintage look on the wrist.
