Description
This a fine, 1956 Omega Seamaster housed in a large stainless steel Omega case measuring 36mm across and having rare, inwardly tapering lugs! This larger screw-back case style is quite uncommon and this one shimmers! The dial was probably refinished years ago, retaining the original and uncommon rose-gold-coloured markers and matching Dauphine-style hands with sought-after 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 Arabic configuration! The Omega caliber 284 manual winding movement is amongst the best calibers produced by Omega in the 1950s. This one was recently cleaned, overhauled and is accurate! The winding crowns in this era were often not signed and are correct.
