Description
This Rolex ref. 9022 dating to 1956 with its 142xxx serial # is amongst the largest and rarest of the Precision watches made by Rolex. The stainless steel case measures a large 42.5mm lug to lug and 9.5mm thick with the crystal. Because of the very narrow bezel, this watch even looks larger with its all-dial appearance. The serial # and Rolex coronet on the case back is still visible. The Rolex-signed crown is installed. The Dauphine hands are original. The sweep seconds hand was likely replaced at some time. The completely original eggshell-toned dial looks simply amazing in real life, with raised steel Rolex coronet and pencil-shaped steel markers along with raised steel Rolex wording, which was not restored or touched up – all original. The manual winding Rolex movement was cleaned and is working perfectly. This is a true investment watch, which I believe will appreciate in price rather quickly.
