1970 Omega Geneve Grand Sport

Description

This 1970 Omega Geneve Grand Sport is an uncommon variation of the Omega Geneve. The dial looks original. It’s so subtle to tell, but it has been restored many years ago. The hands are original. The winding crown is Omega. The gold-plated 34.5mm case with steel back retains a nostalgic inscription dating to 1972. The fine caliber 565 automatic movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The Grand Sport is a very uncommon Omega first produced in 1969 for the ‘international collection’ and marketed in Canada only. These watches utilized the finer and higher quality 24-jewel caliber 565 movement as well, making them a rather collectible vintage Omega.
